Donald Trump has called off a cabinet meeting that was supposed to happen at Camp David because the weather is bad. He will have the meeting at the White House instead.
The meeting was going to be on Wednesday. People thought it would be about Iran and the ceasefire in the Middle East.
Donald Trump said on his Truth Social page that he made this decision because the weather in Washington and Maryland might be really bad. He wrote: “Because the weather might be bad tomorrow, we will have our cabinet meeting at the White House and we will not go to Camp David.”
It has been raining a lot in Washington for days, and the weather forecast says there will be more storms.
Camp David is a place in Maryland where presidents often go to have important meetings. A long time ago, Jimmy Carter had a big meeting there with Israel and Egypt.
The idea was to have the meeting at Camp David because it is quieter than the White House. Now the meeting will be at the White House, where people can watch on television.
This change occurred when people were still unsure what would happen between the United States and Iran. Donald Trump said they might have a deal soon. Things are still tense.
A few days ago, the military said they did some strikes in southern Iran. They also said that, despite these strikes, the ceasefire is still in effect.
Donald Trump does not often go to Camp David. He went there one time in June 2025, just before the United States did some strikes, on Iran’s programme. Donald Trump and his team will talk about Iran and the Middle East at the White House and Camp David.
