UAE Condemns Iran’s Renewed Missile Attack on Jordan

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the renewed Iranian missile attack targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, describing it as a serious violation of the country’s sovereignty and a threat to regional security.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) denounced the attack in strong terms, saying it represented a flagrant breach of Jordan’s sovereignty and endangered the kingdom’s security and stability. The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Jordan and expressed its full support for all measures taken by the kingdom to safeguard its national security and protect its people.

“The UAE expresses its solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and supports all measures aimed at preserving its security and stability “, the ministry said.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions across the Middle East following renewed exchanges involving Iran and its regional adversaries, raising concerns over broader regional stability. The UAE has consistently called for restraint, dialogue and diplomatic solutions to prevent escalation while emphasising the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.

Officials reiterated that attacks threatening the security of countries undermine regional peace and international stability, urging efforts to de-escalate tensions and avoid actions that could further destabilise the region. The latest statement underscores the UAE’s continued support for Jordan and its commitment to promoting security, stability and peaceful resolution of conflicts across the Middle East.
