Saudi Arabia Says Yemen Missile Failed, Lands Near Border

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence said on Monday that a missile launched from Yemen had a problem and did not go where it was supposed to. Major General Turki Al Malki from the ministry said the missile had an issue and went off course, eventually crashing in an empty area near the Saudi Arabia and Yemen border. Luckily, nobody was hurt. There was no damage. People were wondering where the missile was going. Saudi Arabian officials said they looked into it and found out the missile was meant for a country in the area. It had a problem before it got there. The ministry said the missile was not going for Prince Sultan Air Base in Al Kharj Governorate. Officials said the base was safe at the time and everything went on as normal.

Some areas had air raid sirens on Monday as a precaution. This happened when the missile was not visible on systems near the border for a while. Defence people said this was a normal safety measure to keep people safe. Teams that handle emergencies and security went to the area to see what happened. Officials said the missile landed in a desert area away from people.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence is still looking into what happened with the missile. They want to know more about why it did not work

This is happening when there is a lot of tension in the area, and governments are watching for missile and drone threats. Saudi Arabian officials said they will keep working to protect the country and watch the borders. They are also keeping an eye on what’s happening in the area. Saudi Arabia and the missile from Yemen are still a concern for them. The missile from Yemen is a problem that Saudi Arabia is taking seriously.
