Eid Al Adha 2026: Dates, UAE Holidays and How to Get 9 Days Off

Dubai: People who live in the United Arab Emirates are going to have a long holiday during Eid al-Adha 2026. If they plan things smart they can have up to nine days off in a row.

Eid Al Adha is supposed to start on Wednesday, May 27 2026. The Day of Arafah will be on Tuesday, May 26.. Like with all Islamic holidays the exact dates depend on when the moon is sighted.

The UAE Cabinet said that Eid Al Adha will be a three-day holiday from May 27 to May 29. Since this is around the weekend people will get six days off.

If people use their leave in a smart way they can make this break even longer. For example if they take one day off on Monday, May 25 they can have a nine-day holiday from Saturday, May 23 to Sunday, May 31.

This holiday is at the time as the annual Hajj, which starts around May 25. The Hajj is an important time in the Islamic calendar. Millions of Muslims from over the world go to Mecca for the pilgrimage. It is, about being being devoted and renewing your spirit.

For people who are not going to Hajj, the Day of Arafah is very important. They often. Pray on this day.

Eid Al Adha is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. People celebrate it by praying giving to charity and spending time with their families.

Since there is a break coming up people should start planning now. They can think about traveling staying in the city or just spending time with the people they love. Eid Al Adha is a deal and people should make the most of it. Residents of the United Arab Emirates can really look forward to Eid Al Adha and the long holiday that comes with it.
