Scholarships, Flexibility Offered After Exam Cancellations

Dubai: Universities in the United Arab Emirates are helping students because the big school board exams were cancelled. They are making it easier for students to get in by being flexible with admissions and giving them help. This way, students can still keep learning without a break.

Some school boards, like the Central Board of Secondary Education, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge Assessment International Education, could not hold exams because of problems in the region. This has left a lot of students wondering what to do

So universities are now using predicted grades, internal assessments and other ways to evaluate students. Places like Curtin University Dubai and Amity University Dubai are still taking applications. They have made the process easier and given students more time to apply.

The people in charge of universities say their main goal is to be fair and make sure students can keep learning. Many universities are also holding open days and webinars to help students and their families figure out the new way to get in.

Universities are also giving students help to make things easier for their families. For example, Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai is giving out scholarships of Dh25 million. Other universities are giving bursaries and more scholarships.

Universities are being flexible about where students can study. Heriot-Watt University Dubai is letting students start their studies at campuses in other countries and then move to Dubai later.

Education experts say that universities are doing this because they learned from problems like the pandemic. It shows that they care about being fair and want to help all students.

Overall, universities in the United Arab Emirates are working hard to make sure that students are not hurt by things that’re not their fault. They want to help students keep learning and get into education smoothly while still keeping high academic standards. Universities, like Curtin University Dubai and Amity University Dubai, are making sure that students can still achieve their goals.
