UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have discussed ways to further develop relations between the UAE and India, including cooperation under existing strategic and economic partnerships.
During a phone call on September 1, the UAE President and Indian Prime Minister reviewed opportunities to strengthen ties through the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and India.
The discussion also covered developments, with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed and Indian Prime Minister Modi exchanging views on mutual interest issues and efforts to promote security and stability in the region.
Strengthening the UAE-India partnership
UAE and India have developed economic and strategic links across trade, investment and other areas of cooperation. Their bilateral frameworks provide a basis for expanding collaboration between the UAE and India.
During the call, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed also conveyed birthday greetings to Prime Minister Modi, wishing Indian Prime Minister Modi continued good health and success in advancing India’s development and meeting the aspirations of its people.
Indian Prime Minister Modi expressed appreciation for the UAE President’s message. Reaffirmed commitment to working together to further strengthen relations between the UAE and India.
