Dubai: The UAE has shown how important artificial intelligence is in aviation while asking for clear rules and working together with other countries during the 4th China Air Transport Association Conference in Beijing.
The conference is happening from September 17 to 19 with the theme “Integration and Development of Artificial Intelligence and Civil Aviation”. It brings together aviation leaders, people from the industry, and technology groups to look at how AI can change the way aviation works.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority,y said AI can change aviation in areas such as rules for managing the sky, fixing planes,s helping passengers and making decisions about operations.
He said using this technology needs rules to make sure AI is used in a safe, responsible and open way.
UAE-China aviation relationship
Al Suwaidi said the UAE and China have a history of working together, er with civil aviation being very important.
Air service agreements and current cooperation already support more than 90 flights each week connecting cities in the UAE and China, giving a base for more working together.
He also talked about chances coming from bothcountries’s investments in changing new ways to move through the air and smart building projects.
According to Al Suwaidi, future work could include airlines, airports, people who control the skies, technology companies, research groups, and new ideas through studies, testing places,s trying new rules, training people, and sharing knowledge.
He said the success of using AI should be seen in better aviation operations, ns more environmentally friendly practices, spotting problems earlier, and better experiences for travelers.
Official meeting
While at the conference, Al Suwaidi met Pan Yixin, Secretary-General of the China Air Transport Association.
The two groups talked about making UAE-China cooperation in aviation stronger and finding chances to work together where both sides have an interest.
The Beijing conference has talks, special meetings, and a professional show about smart aviation, aviation services, moving things by air,r and training people in aviation.
More than 100 companies are showing their work at the exhibition showing technology and solutions in different parts of the civil aviation world.
The event provides a place for people who control aviation and others in the industry to talk about how new technology can be added to the field while keeping safety, security, a nd the way things work the same.
