Dubai: Many drivers in Dubai are experiencing a sluggish evening drive because accidents, construction work and rush hour traffic are causing delays on several main roads.
Live traffic reports show that congestion is especially severe on routes heading to Sharjah, with stretches of slow-moving traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
Sheikh Zayed Road sees traffic
Traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) moves slowly, ly especially for drivers heading to Sharjah.
Congestion stretches through Dubai Marina, Al Barsha, and Business Bay. Reaches the Defence Roundabout. Accidents and construction work add to the delays.
North traffic stays heavy from Garhoud to Sahara Centre in Sharjah.
Drivers also face congestion on Sheikh Rashid Road (D75). D88 through Karama has slow-moving traffic.
Al Safa Street (D71) is congested in both directions near City Walk and Dubai Mall.
Delays reported on Al Khail Road
Al Khail Road (E44) experiences traffic in both directions between Dubai Hills Estate and Meydan.
Several accidents are causing the slowdown, and extra congestion is reported around Ras Al Khor and near the Dubai Production City exit toward Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
E311 traffic slows towards Sharjah
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) sees slow-moving traffic, especially between Nad Al Sheba and Muhaisnah.
Moderate congestion affects Ranches, Dubai Production City and parts of Dubai South.
EmRoad is Roadis largely moving.
Emirates Road (E611) is smoother overall, though pockets of congestion appear around Remraam and Academic City.
Traffic is heavier around Al Awir, and drivers near Tilal face delays. Construction at Al Badia Interchange adds to the slowdown.
With Thursday evening traffic continuing to build,d drivers are advised to leave if possible, le keep a safe distance from other cars, and check live traffic before starting their trip. Alternative routes may help avoid the affected stretches.
