UAE Announces First Fuel Price Cut in Four Months

Dubai: The UAE Fuel Price Committee has announced that the UAE fuel prices will be lower from July 1. This is the time the prices have gone down since February. The UAE motorists will pay less for petrol and diesel. This is a relief for people who drive cars.

The reason for the decrease in UAE fuel prices is that global oil prices went down in June. This happened because the oil ships were able to travel through the Strait of Hormuz without any problems. This made the international energy markets more stable.

The new UAE fuel prices are as follows: Super 98 petrol will cost Dh3.40 per litre, which is less than Dh3.95 in June. Special 95 will cost Dh3.29, which is less than Dh3.83. E-Plus 91 will cost Dh3.21, which is less than Dh3.76. The biggest decrease is in the diesel price, which has gone down by 73 fils to Dh3.60 per litre.

This decrease in UAE fuel prices is one of the decreases since the UAE started linking fuel prices to the market in 2015. It will help people who travel during the summer holiday season.

For people who drive cars, the savings will start immediately. If you fill a 60-litre sedan* with Super 98 petrol, it will cost you around Dh204, which is less than Dh237 in June. You will save around Dh33 every time you fill your car. If you have a car, like an 80-litre SUV or 4×4, you will save even more money.

The reason for this decrease in UAE fuel prices is that the international oil markets have changed. The price of Brent oil was very high earlier this year, but it has gone down to around $73 per barrel. This decrease in crude oil prices has led to UAE fuel prices.

Even though the UAE fuel prices have gone down, they are still higher than they were before. In February, Super 98 petrol was priced at Dh2.45 per litre, which is less than what it is now.

Looking ahead, the UAE fuel prices in August will depend on what happens to the crude oil prices. If the oil ships can travel through the Strait of Hormuz without any problems, the prices might go down further. If there are any problems, the prices might go up again. For now, the decrease in UAE fuel prices is a relief for people who drive cars in the UAE. It shows that the high fuel prices are starting to go down.
