Abu Dhabi City Municipality has put up a lot of lights all over Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland cities for Eid al-Adha. They have installed 3,800 light displays to make the major streets and public spaces in the capital look really festive.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi helped Abu Dhabi City Municipality with this project. They worked together to make the holiday season special and to make the city look even nicer. They want to show people the culture and identity of Abu Dhabi.
The decorations are really nice. They include big signs that say “Eid Mubarak” and “Wishing You Well Every Year”. Some patterns are inspired by Islamic calligraphy and traditional Arab heritage motifs. The lights are sizes from two to four metres, and they are all over the city on main roads and in public areas.
The people in charge of the municipality say that they want to make the community feel happy and connected during Eid. They also want to show that Abu Dhabi is a city that has a lot of things, but also a lot of old traditions.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality is trying to make the city a nicer place to live. Khaled Allaq Al Hammadi said that the project shows that the municipality cares about making the city look nice and about making people’s lives. He also said they made sure the decorations were safe and environmentally friendly. They used low-energy lights and materials that can be recycled.
There are teams that are taking care of the lights to make sure they are working properly and that everyone is safe.
The lights are part of a plan to make Abu Dhabi a more fun and interesting place. Abu Dhabi City Municipality wants to make the city look nice for occasions and make it a great place for people who live there and for visitors.
