Eid Al Fitr 2026: Dubai announces parking and changes to public transport

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has made some special arrangements for Eid Al Fitr 2026. They include parking and new timings for metro, tram, buses and other transport services in Dubai. The new schedules will be in effect from March 19 to March 21. Some services will still have revised timings on March 22. One of the highlights is that public parking will be free in Dubai during the first three days of Eid Al Fitr.

You will still have to pay for parking at multi-storey facilities. Normal parking charges will start again from the day of Eid. Public transport services will run for longer to help more people travel during Eid.

The Dubai Metro, which includes the Red and Green Lines will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am from March 18, to March 21. On March 22 metro services will start at 8:00 am. Run until 1:00 am. The Dubai Tram will run from 6:00 am to 1:00 am the day from March 18 to March 21. Then it will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 am on March 22.

People who use buses and boats should check the S’hail app for schedules. The S’hail app tells you what is happening with buses, water taxis, ferries and traditional abras now. Some buses that go to cities will also have changes. The E100 bus will not run from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station for part of the holiday. The E101 and E102 buses will. Not at the usual times.

The Dubai Tram and other services like buses and boats will have changes during the holiday. Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during the Eid holiday.. Some smart centres will still be open all the time. The places where you can get your vehicle checked will be closed from March 19 to March 21. They will open again on March 22.

The RTA said that if Ramadan is 30 days long some services might be closed for longer. The authorities want people to plan their trips before they go and check the websites for updates. This way people can have a trip during the holiday. The Dubai Tram and buses will run on schedules during this time. People should check the S’hail app, for the Dubai Tram and bus schedules.
