UAE travellers are being told to check their flight status before going to the airport as airlines keep changing their schedules because of problems in the region.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Zayed International Airport (AUH) are still working. Some flights are being delayed or cancelled. The UAE has also stopped flights from airlines starting September 24 until more information is available.
The situation is. Airlines are saying that schedules can change quickly. Problems with equipment and operations are also causing some issues.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi flight updates
Some flights from Dubai had delays on Friday morning. These included SpiceJet flights to Jaipur, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kozhikode and Kochi, plus the Belavia Dubai-Minsk flight.
In Abu Dhabi, Etihad said most flights were planned to go as usual. Some flights to Bahrain, Kuwait and Riyadh were delayed. Flight EY583 to Beirut was delayed because of a problem, and the return flight EY584 was also affected.
Emirates, Etihad, flydubai and Air Arabia
Emirates said flights to Bahrain and Kuwait were running. Some early flights had small delays. Cancellations listed included EK330 to Manila, EK943 to Baghdad, EK404 to Melbourne, EK606 to Karachi and EK390 to Phuket.
Etihad said there were delays on EY647 to Bahrain, EY653 to Kuwait and EY551 to Riyadh. Other flights were planned to go normally.
There were no problems with flydubai flights in the update provided. The airline asks Dubai passengers to arrive at the airport at least four hours before their flight, do online check-in if possible,e and check their flight status.
Air Arabia cancelled flights G9068 and G9124 to Kuwait, G9107 to Bahrain and 3L020 from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait. Other flights were going as planned.

Passengers should talk directly to their airline before they travel, give themselves time at the airport, and be ready for last-minute changes.
Travel warnings from the UK, US, Australia and Canada still say there could be problems, like delays, cancellations and sudden changes to the airspace.
Some international airlines have said they will start flying to the UAE in October and November, but these dates might change based on the situation in the region.
