Abu Dhabi authorities have temporarily closed Ahal Al Raya Butchery due to repeated food safety violations. The closure follows the establishment’s failure to take steps to correct issues identified during inspections.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) issued a closure order against Ahl Al Raya Butchery One Person Company LLC, which operates under commercial licence No. CN-2510591. This action followed food safety inspection findings that revealed ongoing breaches of food safety rules.
ADAFSA stated that the butchery had been repeatedly found in violation of regulations and was given opportunities to fix the problems. Yet no effective corrective measures were taken. As a result, the authority decided to act to protect public health.
The closure is being enforced under Abu Dhabi Law No. 2off 2008 concerning food and its implementing regulations. This law gives ADAFSA the power to close establishments that pose a risk to consumers.
The temporary closure will remain in place until the causes of the violations are fully resolved. The butchery can only reopen once it has corrected all the conditions reported and provided proof of compliance with food safety standards.
This decision is part of ADAFSA’s food safety programme across Abu Dhabi. Regular inspections are conducted to ensure food businesses meet safety standards. These inspections help identify problems early. Support efforts to keep food safe for everyone.
ADAFSA emphasized that food establishments must consistently follow food safety requirements. It is not enough to fix issues only after an inspection finds them. Businesses should maintain practices at all times.

When complaints are received, ADAFSA sends inspection teams to look into the issue. If violations are confirmed, appropriate actions are taken. Public reporting plays a role in helping the authority monitor and improve food safety across the emirate.
For now, Ahal Al Raya Butchery remains closed. It will stay closed until all safety concerns are addressed and the authority gives permission for it to resume operations.
