UAE President, Lebanese leader discuss cooperation and regional stability

ABU DHABI: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received a phone call from the President of Lebanon Joseph Aoun. During the call, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, areas of cooperation, and developments in the Middle East.

The two presidents also discussed ways to strengthen relations between the UAE and Lebanon as well as intensify cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and that serve the interests of the two peoples and countries.

Sheikh Mohamed and Joseph Aoun reviewed the current security situation in Lebanon, as well as measures to bolster the country’s security and stability.

Presidents Aoun expressed his gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its support of Lebanon and its people and stressed that he always appreciates the UAE’s solidarity. He also said that he sends his best wishes for the prosperity and development of the UAE.

The two leaders also discussed several regional issues of mutual interest, including events in the Middle East.

The UAE continues to demonstrate its solidarity with Lebanon and its people and has stressed the need to support stability in Lebanon and enhance cooperation mechanisms with Arab allies.

The latest developments come as regional Arab leaders have been working to ensure security and stability in the region and counter a number of political and security challenges.

It is noteworthy that Sheikh Mohamed has held several phone calls with other regional leaders discussing bilateral relations, as well as developments in the Middle East.

The UAE and Lebanon have good relations characterized by a comprehensive political, economic, and security cooperation, as well as the UAE’s support for Lebanon and its people.

The latest phone call between the two presidents shows the UAE’s desire to deepen bilateral ties and enhance regional security and stability. It also demonstrates the two countries’ solidarity with regard to the need to address several regional issues impacting the peace and stability of the region.

The two leaders also stressed the need to coordinate policies and approaches to tackle several issues of mutual interest and that negatively affect the stability of the region.
