Air France extends Dubai suspension as Cathay Pacific suspends Dubai and Riyadh flights through November 30
Dubai: UAE travellers face continued flight disruptions as airlines adjust schedules amid security concerns with delays reported at Dubai International Airport and Zayed International Airport.
Passengers are advised to check flight status with their airline before travelling as schedules can change at short notice.
Emirates, Etihad services
Emirates is operating Gulf routes, including scheduled flights from Dubai to Bahrain and Kuwait. Services include EK837 and EK839 to Bahrain and EK857 to Kuwait.
Etihad Airways said Abu Dhabi services to Bahrain and Kuwait are mostly operating normally. However flights to Karachi, Delhi, Peshawar and Kochi were among those delayed on September 5.
Recent disruptions also included a Jeddah-bound flight diverting to Medina following an airport closure while flights to Sochi were cancelled after an airport closure. Services to Warsaw and Milan were delayed because of issues.
Air Arabia cancellations
Air Arabia has cancelled flights, including G9068 and G9124 from Sharjah to Kuwait, G9107 from Sharjah to Bahrain and 3L020 from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also reported delays affecting flights to Cairo, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Calicut, Sialkot and Multan.
Affected passengers should contact the airline for rebooking and refund information.
flydubai and Dubai Airport
flydubai’s flights to Kuwait and Bahrain are operating as scheduled. The airline advises passengers departing Dubai to arrive four hours before departure online check-in where available and allow additional time for traffic, security and immigration.
Delays have also affected Emirates flights to Brisbane and Kochi Ariana Afghan Airlines’ Kabul service and SpiceJet flights to Mumbai, New Delhi, Jaipur, Kozhikode and Kochi.
International suspensions
Air France has extended its Dubai flight suspension through September 8. Cathay Pacific has suspended passenger flights to Dubai and Riyadh through November 30.
British Airways continues to suspend Dubai and Abu Dhabi services. Singapore Airlines, ITA Airways, Finnair and AirBaltic have suspended Dubai flights through October 24 while Philippine Airlines has suspended Manila-Dubai services until October 2.
Korean Air and Virgin Atlantic remain suspended on Dubai routes. Pegasus has suspended Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah services. Lufthansa, Eurowings and SWISS remain suspended through October 24 while Air Canada has suspended Dubai services until mid-January 2027.
Travellers should check airline and airport channels before leaving and remain prepared, for last-minute delays or cancellations.
