Sharjah: Air Arabia has added another service to Thailand as it expands its services to the regional nation, offering UAE travellers a fourth daily non-stop flight between Sharjah and Bangkok from October 25.
The additional service will take the Sharjah-Bangkok flight to 28 non-stop weekly flights.
The new schedule comes in response to the increasing demand for flights to and from the UAE and Southeast Asia, where Air Arabia has been running 21 weekly non-stop flights between Sharjah and Phuket.
Together, the airline’s Bangkok and Phuket services will see 49 weekly non-stop flights from Sharjah to Thailand.
More flexibility for UAE travellers
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said Thailand was an important market for the airline and that the additional frequency reflected growing demand for affordable travel between the UAE and Southeast Asia.
“Our expanded Bangkok service reflects the strong importance of Thailand within our network and our commitment to supporting growing demand for affordable and convenient travel between the UAE and Southeast Asia,” said Al Ali.
He also said that the increased Bangkok operation to four daily flights, as well as the existing Phuket services, would offer passengers greater flexibility while enhancing Sharjah’s connectivity with Thailand.
The new schedule will commence on October 25 2026, offering another direct option for travellers from Sharjah to Bangkok during the winter travel period.
Air Arabia’s Thailand network
The airline operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and offers passengers services such as SkyTime in-flight streaming and SkyCafe, as well as its Air Rewards loyalty programme.
With the airline’s expanded Thailand network, passengers departing from Sharjah will have a wider choice of direct flights to both Bangkok and Phuket.
The increased frequency will also enhance Sharjah’s role as a regional departure point for travellers looking to connect to Thailand, specifically those who need to travel directly and avoid having to transit via another airport.
With the new Bangkok service, Air Arabia will be operating four daily flights to Thailand’s capital, alongside its existing Phuket schedule.
For UAE residents planning to spend their winters in Thailand, increased frequency will mean more choice when it comes to choosing the travel dates and timings, while expanding the number of direct connections available from Sharjah.
The airline said that the additional services would reinforce Thailand’s position as one of its key Southeast Asian destinations and support its strategy of expanding connectivity from its Sharjah hub.
