Abu Dhabi: The UAE has given $10 million through the UAE Aid Agency as part of a quick help action for people affected by floods and landslides in Nepal.
This help was given by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the country in the Himalayas deals with a lot of damage from this disaster.
The floods and landslides have caused deaths and injuries, and some people are still missing. Houses and other buildings have also been badly damaged in the areas hit. The UAE Aid Agency said the emergency help is meant to give support and relief to people affected by this disaster.

Dr Tareq Ahmed Al Amiri, leader of the UAE Aid Agency, said the UAE is committed to helping with relief efforts and reacting quickly when big natural disasters happen.
He said the UAE’s way of helping is based on ideas like working together and helping people who are in trouble. Al Amiri said it is important to build better help actions so that help can get to people who need it during big problems.
Groups from the UAE Aid Agency are working with the people in charge in Nepal and other groups around the world to deliver this emergency help. The work will focus on getting to people who are affected, including women, men and children, as help continues.
