Dubai Humanitarian has started a way to send help to Gaza. They are using planes to carry medical supplies and other necessary items to people who really need them.
Organisation: The World Health Organization is getting a lot of help from Dubai Humanitarian. This week, four flights took off from Dubai to send medicines, tents and food to Gaza. The first plane had eleven tonnes of medicines on it.
The Dubai Humanitarian is doing this because Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of Dubai told them to. They want to make sure people in Gaza get the help they need.
Far the planes have carried a lot of important supplies, including medicines, tents and special food that will help people who are not getting enough nutrients. Dubai Humanitarian is planning to send 150 tonnes of supplies to Gaza over the next few weeks.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, the Chairman of Dubai Humanitarian said that this is not the time they have helped Gaza. They have also sent help to countries like Afghanistan and Uganda.
The World Health Organization is very thankful for the help from Dubai Humanitarian. They said that the supplies they are sending are worth than $1.3 million and will help around 400,000 people in Gaza.
The planes that are carrying the supplies are also saving the World Health Organization a lot of money. Since the conflict started Dubai Humanitarians planes have saved them than $4 million. This is because they are not having to pay much for transporting the supplies.
