Dubai Municipality sets world record for governance, AI and institutional excellence

Dubai: Dubai Municipality has been recognised by Official World Record (OWR) for implementing best practices and governance standards, marking a new milestone in its drive for institutional excellence and innovation.

The recognition followed an assessment by an international panel of experts and auditors who evaluated the Municipality’s performance against internationally recognised standards in governance, quality and risk management, business continuity, innovation, digital transformation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

The achievement underscores Dubai Municipality’s commitment to strengthening performance through an integrated governance framework that promotes operational excellence, service innovation and sustainable development while enhancing residents’ quality of life.

The Municipality’s standards have improved organisational efficiency, streamlined procedures, accelerated service delivery, and expanded the use of smart digital solutions and AI. These initiatives also support sustainability and social responsibility, aligning with Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s best city to live and work.

Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said the recognition reflects the leadership’s vision of making excellence a defining principle of government work.

“This global recognition reflects the vision of our leadership, which has made excellence a defining principle of government work. It is a testament to the dedication of our teams and their continued commitment to delivering efficient and future-ready services,” he said.

He said the achievement will encourage the Municipality to continue raising standards and share its expertise with organisations that strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation, collaboration, and government excellence.

The recognition reinforces Dubai Municipality’s standing as a benchmark for institutional excellence and supports Dubai’s reputation as a preferred destination for government innovation and knowledge exchange.
