Panasonic Doubles Down on Middle East and Africa as Strategic Growth Accelerates

Dubai, UAE – June 29, 2026: Panasonic is going all in on the Middle East and Africa (MEA), making it clear this region is central to its plans. The company is zeroing in on everything from pro-level imaging and smart security to energy solutions, visual systems, and the stuff you use every day at home.

This renewed push comes at the right moment. All across the GCC and Africa, countries are throwing serious investment behind smart cities, new infrastructure, hospitality, retail, transportation, and sustainable growth. There’s a ton of opportunity now for tech brands that can offer complete, integrated solutions—not just single products—to step up and stand out.

Based out of its regional headquarters in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, Panasonic says it’s ready for this surge. The company’s playbook combines Japanese engineering with local market smarts, plus a big network of partners serving dozens of countries across the region.

“The Middle East and Africa aren’t one big market. It’s a patchwork of ambitions, and that’s exactly why we’re committed,” said John Hardy, Chief Executive Officer, Panasonic Middle East & Africa FZE.

“Not many brands can handle a stadium’s visual systems, a whole city’s security, a broadcaster’s cameras, a building’s energy backbone, and the appliances in a family’s kitchen all under one roof. We’re staying close to customers and partners, focused on doing things right, and making sure what we offer actually matters on the ground.”

Fueling Regional Momentum

Governments and businesses are spending big on digital infrastructure, entertainment, public safety, and efficiency. Panasonic bets its wide set of technologies gives it an edge for both big organisations and everyday consumers.

Instead of just selling business tech or home gadgets, Panasonic brings both together under one really big umbrella, which means it’s involved in projects that cross industries, not stuck in one niche.

Broadcast Studios to Smart Cities

Panasonic keeps building its presence in pro imaging with gear like the AK-UC4000 studio camera, top-tier camcorders, production switchers, and mirrorless LUMIX cameras. Broadcasters, production houses, and creators across the region rely on this lineup.

Security is another key focus. Panasonic is rolling out smarter surveillance with everything from dome, bullet, PTZ, and thermal cameras to advanced video intercoms and AI tools that spot intruders, recognise people and cars, and track activity. All of it is built tough for the region’s harsh climate.

Lighting Up Big Events

Panasonic’s influence stretches into the fast-growing events and entertainment world, too. Their projector range, covering everything from compact business models to ultra-bright 50,000-lumen showstoppers, lights up exhibitions, museums, auditoriums, houses of worship, corporate events, and immersive experiences.

Driving Sustainable Solutions

Energy efficiency is a huge part of Panasonic’s plan. Using advanced battery tech, energy storage systems, and its broader Eco Solutions, the company is helping governments and businesses reach sustainability targets—and making it easier for people to live greener at home.

The home lineup keeps growing, too, with everything from kitchen appliances and comfort systems to health and beauty devices, designed around the needs of Middle Eastern and African households.

A Legacy of Japanese Craftsmanship

Panasonic says its mindset never changes: precision Japanese engineering and a real focus on how people actually use their products. Whether it’s pro broadcast gear, surveillance systems, projection tech, energy solutions, or home appliances, Panasonic goes for reliable, durable, and intuitive.

That’s what the global brand promise “Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow.” is all about: make something that lasts and improves life, today and down the road.

“Our DNA has always been about quality you trust and design that fits real people,” Hardy said. “That thread runs from our high-end pro systems to what you find in your kitchen. In a region changing this fast, being consistent and being trusted matters more than ever.”

With its MEA footprint growing fast, Panasonic says it’s going to work even more closely with customers and partners, rolling out solutions tuned to the region’s unique needs. For Panasonic, it all comes down to quality, reliability, and building lasting value.
