UAE Urges Strict Adherence to US-Iran Agreement

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates says it’s very important for the United States and Iran to fully follow the agreement between them. This will help make the region stable and reduce tensions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Monday that all parties must follow the agreement. This will immediately stop actions.

Commitment to Diplomacy

The UAE supports talking and diplomacy to solve conflicts peacefully. They believe negotiations are the way to achieve stability and security in the region. The ministry said diplomacy is crucial in addressing challenges and preventing more escalation.

Respect for Sovereignty and International Law

The statement stressed the importance of respecting every nation’s sovereignty and being a neighbour. The UAE also called for compliance with international law. They believe regional peace and stability depend on respect, cooperation and following international norms.

Focus on Maritime Security

A point in the UAEs statement was protecting international shipping routes. They want to ensure freedom of navigation.

The ministry highlighted the importance of the Strait of Hormuz. Uninterrupted maritime traffic through this waterway is essential for security, global trade and economic prosperity. The UAE noted that maintaining stability in shipping corridors benefits both regional economies and international markets.

Recognition of Diplomatic Efforts

The ministry praised the efforts that led to the agreement. They commended US President Donald Trump and other countries that helped facilitate discussions. These diplomatic efforts created conditions for progress toward an understanding between Washington and Tehran.
