Modi Sets Historic Record as India’s Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister

Narendra Modi is now India’s serving elected Prime Minister. He has been in office for 4,399 days in a row, which’s more than any other Prime Minister in Indian history. This is a deal because he has been in power for a very long time.

Narendra Modi first became Prime Minister on May 26 2014. He won the elections in 2014, 2019 and 2024, which’s very impressive. One other person, Jawaharlal Nehru, has won three elections in a row before. The National Democratic Alliance government, which Narendra Modi is a part of, has been in power for 12 years now. They are very happy about this. Are celebrating. They think they have done a job with roads, digital payments and helping people.

During Narendra Modi’s time as Prime Minister, India has done big projects. They started a tax system, expanded digital payments, and built a lot of new roads and trains. They even built a Parliament building. Narendra Modi has also helped India become more important on the world stage. India hosted a meeting of world leaders, made friends with other countries, and became one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.

Many people, including politicians and world leaders, are congratulating Narendra Modi on this big achievement. They think it is because he has the support of the people and has been able to keep the country stable for a time.

This new record means that Narendra Modi is now one of the most important people in Indian politics. He has been in power for a long time, both as Prime Minister and as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Narendra Modi is now the serving elected Prime Minister in Indian history.
