Hajj Temperatures Expected to Reach 47°C in Mecca.

Saudi Arabia is telling people who are going to the Hajj pilgrimage to use sun umbrellas and take care of their health because it is going to be very hot in Mecca and the surrounding areas during the 2026 pilgrimage. The temperature is expected to be close to 47°C.

The Saudi Ministry of Health gave this advice because they are worried that people might get sick from the heat. They said that being in the sun for long can cause heat exhaustion, dehydration and sunstroke during the pilgrimage.

The ministry said that using umbrellas can make the temperature feel about 10 degrees Celsius cooler. This can really help people stay safe in the heat.

People who are going to the Hajj pilgrimage should also make sure to keep their umbrellas safe. They should use wrist straps to keep them from blowing. They should not throw their umbrellas away after they use them for rituals. Instead they should store them properly when they are moving from one place to another.

The weather forecast says it is going to be very hot and dusty during the Hajj season. There might be winds that blow dust and sand around Mecca and the other holy areas. This could be a problem for the than 1.5 million people who are going to the pilgrimage.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has done a lot to make the pilgrimage safer and more comfortable for people. They have built walkways and installed misting systems to help keep people cool. They have also worked on projects to reduce the heat and make it easier for people to move around.

The officials are still telling people who are going to the Hajj pilgrimage to drink a lot of water and stay out of the sun. They should follow all the rules to stay safe and healthy during the pilgrimage. The Saudi Ministry of Health wants to make sure that everyone who goes to the Hajj pilgrimage stays safe. The Hajj pilgrimage is an event, and the Saudi Ministry of Health is doing everything it can to help people.
