The National Centre of Meteorology says the weather in the UAE will be generally fair but dusty this week. We can expect temperatures and rough sea conditions in some areas. The National Centre of Meteorology also says there will be winds in several regions.
The reason for this weather is a low-pressure system that is coming from the east. At the time, a high-pressure system is approaching from the west, and an upper-air ridge is affecting the weather.
On Monday, the National Centre of Meteorology says it will be dusty in some parts of the UAE, and the temperature will drop. We can expect light to moderate winds from the northwest, which will blow dust and sand in open areas. The wind speed will be between 10km/h and 25km/h. It can go up to 40km/h in some places. When the wind is strong, it may be hard to see in certain areas.
The sea in the Arabian Gulf will be rough to moderate on Monday, and the Oman Sea will be slight to moderate before it becomes rough in the evening.
The weather will get a little better on Tuesday with skies and warmer temperatures in the UAE. However, the winds from the southwest to northwest will still be. They will be light to moderate but active at times. The Arabian Gulf will be moderate. It can get rough in the northern areas, and the Oman Sea may also get rough sometimes.
The National Centre of Meteorology says the weather will be fair on Wednesday and Thursday. The winds will remain active and raise dust in some areas. By Friday, the weather will still be generally fair. The fresh northwest winds may make the Arabian Gulf dusty and rough in the afternoon.
The authorities are telling people to be careful when it’s dusty and hard to see, especially on highways and coastal routes. The National Centre of Meteorology wants residents and motorists to be cautious during these times.
