Modi Arrives in UAE as Five-Nation Diplomatic Tour Begins

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday. This is the stop of his six-day trip to five countries. The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the airport in Abu Dhabi. There was a ceremony with a guard of honour, and the national anthems of India and the United Arab Emirates were played.

When Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane entered the United Arab Emirates airspace, some military planes escorted it. This was a gesture to show how close India and the United Arab Emirates are. India and the United Arab Emirates are working together in areas like energy, trade and new technologies.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will have talks. They want to make their countries’ relationship stronger. They will talk about things like intelligence, working together on supplies, and new investment ideas. They will also talk about the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on the social media platform X that he was happy with the welcome he got from the United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He thinks that their talks will help India and the United Arab Emirates work together more.

The United Arab Emirates is one of India’s important friends in the Gulf region. India and the United Arab Emirates have been doing a lot of trade with each other. They signed an agreement called the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Now they are doing more than $100 billion in trade. India and the United Arab Emirates want to do $200 billion in trade

The Minister of State for International Cooperation in the United Arab Emirates, Reem Al Hashimy, said that science and new ideas will be important for India and the United Arab Emirates to work together in the future.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United Arab Emirates is happening at a time when there are problems in West Asia. So India and the United Arab Emirates will talk about how to keep the region stable and work together.
