US Lifts Shelter Advisory in UAE After Halt in Attacks, Urges Continued Vigilance

The US Embassy in the UAE has lifted its shelter advisory. This is because there have been no drone and missile attacks. The US Embassy says its staff can now move around the country as usual. They still need to be careful and be ready to hide if there are any new threats.

The advisory was put in place because of rising tensions in the region. Many places in the UAE, like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, took precautions. Now that things are calm, the US Embassy is easing its restrictions.

The US still has a Level 3 travel advisory for the UAE. This means they are telling citizens to think before travelling. The region is still uncertain, so people need to be cautious.

The US Embassy and consulate are not working as usual. Some staff have been moved out of the country. This means they can’t do all their work, like processing visas. If citizens need help, like with their passport, they should use support.

The US has given some safety tips for citizens in the UAE. These include staying away from windows during alerts and having emergency supplies ready. Citizens should also make sure their travel documents are up to date.

The US also wants citizens to join the Smart Traveller Enrollment Program (STEP). This way, they can get updates and guidance from officials.

The halt in attacks has brought some relief. Officials say the situation can change quickly. The US Embassy is being cautious. They are hopeful. For now, they want people to prioritise safety and be prepared. They should stay informed and alert as the situation in the region changes.
