Fuel Tanker Explosion Near Panama Canal Bridge Kills One

Panama City had an explosion with a fuel tanker near the Bridge of the Americas. This explosion killed one person and hurt two others the authorities said on Monday.

The explosion happened at a place that supplies fuel, which’s right next to the Bridge of the Americas. This bridge goes over the Panama Canal. There is a video from security cameras that shows a ball of fire and a lot of smoke coming from the place after the explosion.

The people in charge say the person who died was working at the fuel place when the explosion happened. Two firefighters got a hurt when they were putting out the fire.

The fire department sent people to put out the fire and make the area safe. The people who take care of the Panama Canal said the explosion did not affect the canal and boats can still go through.

The Bridge of the Americas was closed for a while after the explosion just to be safe. The authorities will check the bridge to see if it got damaged before they open it again.

They do not know what made the explosion happen yet. They are still trying to figure it out.

The authorities want everyone to be safe so they are telling people to stay from the area while they finish their work. They are also saying that safety is very important to them. The Panama Canal Authority and the authorities are working together to make sure everything is okay. The fuel tanker explosion, near the Bridge of the Americas is still being investigated.
