UAE weather alert: Heavy rain and thunder hit Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

The weather in the United Arab Emirates was really bad on Saturday. It was raining heavily and there was thunder in many big cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

The people who forecast the weather say that this is happening because of a low-pressure system that is moving across the country. This system is making clouds that are bringing a lot of rain to many areas. Some places even got a lot of rain not a little bit.

The wind was also very strong. It picked up a lot of dust and sand. This made it hard to see in some parts of the country. It was not safe to drive. The authorities told people to be careful and to drive slowly. They also said to avoid roads that were flooded and to stay away from the beach.

The police in Dubai and Abu Dhabi reminded drivers to follow the signs on the road and to leave a lot of space between cars.

The people who forecast the weather say that the weather will still be bad for the rest of the week. There might even be hail and lightning in some places. The areas in the north and east like Al Ain might get more rain.

People who live in the United Arab Emirates should make sure to check the weather forecast before they go anywhere. They should also be very careful when they are travelling and try to avoid going out if they do not have to. The officials are saying that safety is the important thing, especially, in areas where the water can rise very quickly or where the weather can change very suddenly.
