Qatar Airways Restarts Limited Flights After Temporary Approval Amid Regional Disruptions

Qatar Airways has begun operating a limited schedule of flights after receiving temporary approval from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. The move comes as the airline works to minimize travel disruptions and reconnect passengers with their destinations following recent regional instability.

Flights Resume from Doha to Major International Hubs

On March 10, flights departing from Hamad International Airport in Doha are connecting travellers to several major cities, including Cairo, London, Jeddah, Manila, Istanbul, Mumbai, Delhi, Nairobi, Madrid, Frankfurt, Colombo, Milan, and Moscow. This partial resumption is a welcome relief for many passengers whose travel plans were upended by earlier suspensions.

Expanded Destinations Scheduled for March 11

Qatar Airways is set to expand its temporary network on March 11, adding flights to global destinations such as Toronto, Dallas, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Seoul, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Melbourne. These routes are aimed at helping more travellers reach family, friends, and business commitments during the ongoing disruption.

Arrivals into Doha Continue on Limited Basis

Incoming flights to Doha are also scheduled from key international cities, including Seoul, Moscow, London, Delhi, Madrid, Islamabad, Beijing, Perth, Nairobi, and Istanbul through March 12. The airline emphasized that these services are part of a carefully managed, temporary schedule.

Safety and Flexibility Remain Priorities

Qatar Airways made it clear that this limited schedule does not signal a full return to normal operations. The airline’s primary focus remains the safety and wellbeing of passengers and crew. Travellers are strongly advised to check flight status on the Qatar Airways website, mobile app, or with their travel agent before heading to the airport, and should only proceed if they have a confirmed booking.

Further Updates Expected as Situation Evolves

The airline acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the disruptions and expressed gratitude for passengers’ patience and understanding. Qatar Airways is closely monitoring regional developments and will issue another operational update later on March 10 as conditions change.

For now, travellers are encouraged to remain flexible and informed as the airline works to gradually restore connectivity across its global network.
