Dubai Customs has extended the suspension period for customs duties on declarations by another sixty days, giving businesses extra time and easing financial and administrative pressures. I hope this extra time helps businesses manage their finances.
The extension brings the suspension period for qualifying customs declarations up to one hundred eighty days.
The measure covers customs duty suspension arrangements that expire after February twenty 2026 and up to October thirty first, 202,6 according to Dubai Customs.
Dubai Customs says the measure applies to imports destined for re-export, rt goods entering under temporary admission, ion and all types of transit covered by the relevant customs arrangements.
Sixty days
The newly announced extension will begin from the date on which the original suspension period expires.
Dubai Customs said the measure is intended to provide support to customers while helping businesses manage their financial obligations and administrative requirements. We understand how stressful these obligations can be.
Dubai Customs also says it may extend the suspension period further in line with approved rules and procedures.
The latest extension will remain effective until Dubai Customs issues an announcement ending the measure.
The decision applies temporarily to customs declarations that meet the conditions set out in the announcement and takes effect from the date of issuance.

The latest decision follows Customs Announcement No. 12 of 2026 issued on June eighteenth.
That earlier announcement extended the suspension period to one hundred twenty days for arrangements whose original suspension periods expired after February twenty-seventh and up to July thirty-first 2026.
The latest sixty-day extension effectively provides a period of relief for qualifying declarations, bringing the maximum suspension period under the latest measure to one hundred eighty days.
