Dubai: People who drive in the United Arab Emirates are paying more for fuel for the month in a row. This is because fuel prices went up in June. However, the price of petrol in the United Arab Emirates is still lower than in other countries.
The price of petrol went up by 8%, and the price of diesel went down by around 7.7%. Even though the price of petrol went up, it is not going up as fast as it was earlier in the year.
The price of oil around the world has come down a lot in the past few weeks. The price of Brent oil was more than $110 per barrel because of problems in the Strait of Hormuz. Now it is around $90 to $95 per barrel because people are hopeful that things will get better.
People who drive in the United Arab Emirates are still paying a lot more for fuel than they were at the start of 2026. Filling up a car with 60 litres of petrol costs a lot more now than it did a month ago. This is because of the changes in the oil market earlier in the year.
People who study the market say that they are not as worried about oil supplies being disrupted. This means that the price of oil is not going up much. However the price of energy is still affected by what happens in the Gulf region in the Strait of Hormuz. This is because a lot of the world’s oil is exported through this area.
Compared to other countries, the price of fuel in the United Arab Emirates is still relatively low. People in some parts of Europe and other countries that import fuel are paying more because of taxes and other costs.
Some people think that June might be the month when things start to get better. If the price of oil stays around the same and there are no big problems in the region, people who drive might pay less for fuel in the coming months. However, the price of fuel can still change because of what happens in the world and in the energy market.
