One Killed, 19 Injured in Serious Dubai Road Accident

The accident happened near the Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Bridge in the direction of Emirates Road. Emergency teams had to rush to the scene.

The workers’ bus stopped suddenly in the middle of the road because it had a problem. Then a truck hit it from behind. Police said the truck driver did not keep a distance and did not stop in time to avoid hitting the bus.

Brigadier Jumaa Salem Bin Suwaidan, who is the Director of the General Department of Traffic, said the truck driver made a mistake. One person died in the accident. 19 Other workers were hurt. Eight of the workers who were hurt are in bad shape. Two workers have injuries, and nine workers have minor injuries.

The people who were hurt were taken to hospitals near the accident. Dubai Police made sure the area was safe after the accident. They also made sure traffic was redirected so it would not be too crowded.

Dubai Police wants to remind people that it is very dangerous to stop a vehicle in the middle of the road. This is especially true if the vehicle breaks down. Workers should make sure their vehicles are in condition before they drive. If a vehicle breaks down, the driver should move it to a safe place if possible.

Dubai Police said stopping a vehicle in the middle of the road is a traffic violation. It can cause bad accidents. If a vehicle breaks down, the driver should turn on the hazard lights. The driver should also put warning triangles behind the vehicle if it is safe. The people in the vehicle should move to a safe place and call the police.

If someone stops a vehicle in the middle of the road, in the UAE, they will be fined Dh1,000. Get six black points. If they block traffic, they will get penalties. Dubai Police is warning workers to be careful and follow the traffic rules.
