Plane Hits Pedestrian During Takeoff at Denver Airport

A Frontier Airlines flight that was going to Los Angeles had to stop taking off at Denver International Airport on Friday night. This happened because the plane hit a person who was on the runway. The plane then caught on fire. People had to get out really fast.

The people in charge of the airport said this happened at about 11:19 pm. The plane, an Airbus A321, had 224 passengers and 7 crew members on it. It was getting ready to leave Denver and go to the Los Angeles International Airport when the crew said they had hit someone on the runway.

The air traffic controllers heard the pilot say, “We are stopping on the runway. We just hit somebody. We have a fire in the engine.” After that, the crew said there was smoke inside the plane, and they needed to get everyone out.

The emergency teams got there fast. They put out the fire. Helped get the passengers to safety. They used slides to get off the plane, and then buses took them back to the terminal. Everyone on the plane got out safely.

The people at Frontier Airlines and Denver International Airport do not know how the person got onto the runway. They also do not know how badly the person was hurt. The airline said that the pilots stopped the plane because they saw smoke and they wanted to be safe. They are working with the airport and the government to figure out what happened.

The National Transportation Safety Board is going to look into what happened. The runway where the accident happened is closed until they can figure out what happened. This is a deal because it makes people wonder if the airport is safe and secure.

The airport is still working. Some flights were delayed because of what happened. The emergency teams were working on the runway where the accident happened.
