Pope Leo Rejects Trump’s Nuclear Claims, Reaffirms Church’s Stand on Peace

Dubai, May 6 2026: Pope Leo XIV said that what Donald Trump said about him and nuclear weapons is not true. Pope Leo XIV wants people to know that the Catholic Church is against weapons and wants everyone to work towards peace.

When Pope Leo XIV talked to reporters outside Villa Barberini before going to Rome from Castel Gandolfo, he said that the Church’s main goal is to spread peace and the word of God. He asked people who disagree with him to be honest about what he says.

Pope Leo XIV made it clear that the Church does not think it is an idea for countries like Iran to have nuclear weapons. He said that the Vatican has always been against weapons because it wants peace all around the world.

Pope Leo XIV thought about when he became the Pope and what he said. “Peace be with you”. He said that this is what guides him when he makes decisions. He said his job is to help people get along and talk to each other, especially when the world is going through tough times.

Pope Leo XIV also said that talking to each other is very important. He is going to meet with Marco Rubio, and he hopes they can have an open and honest conversation.

The world is still dealing with a lot of problems and worries about weapons. Pope Leo XIV said that talking to each other is the way to solve problems and make the world a safer place. The Vatican will keep saying that countries should get rid of their weapons and try to resolve conflicts peacefully. This is what the Vatican thinks is the thing to do when it comes to keeping the world safe.

Pope Leo XIV made it clear that he did not agree with what Donald Trump said about him. Pope Leo XIV wants everyone to know that peace, honesty and talking to each other are what is important.
