Dubai Reroutes Cargo via Oman to Ease Logistics Disruptions

Dubai is having some problems with getting things from one place to another. So Dubai has come up with a plan to send cargo through Oman. This will help keep trade going while they figure out the problems with the sea and air routes.

The government made a rule called Customs Notice No. (06/2026) That says cargo can go from Dubai to places in the world through Omans ports and airports. They can use the Hatta border crossing to get. The people in charge want to make sure that things keep moving and that there are not many delays.

This new plan is connected to something called the Dubai-Oman corridor. It gives details about how to move cargo by sea and by air. There are two types of cargo that this plan is for: things that come into Dubai and then get sent to other places and things that are made in Dubai and sent to other countries.

Here is how it works: cargo that comes into Dubai by sea can be taken by truck to Omans ports.. Cargo that comes into Dubai by air can be taken by truck to Omans airports to get on another plane. Only certain companies, like DP World and dnata are allowed to handle this cargo.

The cargo has to go through a lot of checks. First it gets checked in Dubai then it gets. Sent to the Hatta border. When it gets to the border the people in charge check the papers and the seals again. Then it can go into Oman, where it gets checked again.

The government is also trying to help people who are sending cargo by not making them pay much money upfront. They can use something called a letter of guarantee of paying cash.. If the cargo is coming from Dubai they do not have to pay anything at all.

The people in charge say that this is a temporary solution but it is necessary. A lot of countries in the region are having problems, with getting things from one place to another so they are trying to find ways to make it work.
