Dubai: People living in UAE can cut airfares to India by than 50 per cent. Sometimes dropping from over Dh1,500 to under Dh600. Simply by changing travel dates or booking early.
A review of airline booking trends shows that delaying travel by 7 to 10 days can make ticket prices go down a lot on UAE–India routes.
Big price gaps across routes
Recent fare comparisons show differences:
- Dubai–Mumbai: Dh1,400–Dh1,560 now → low as Dh525 in early April
- Dubai–Hyderabad: Dh1,400–Dh1,600 → around Dh555
- Dubai–Delhi: Dh1,700–Dh2,000 → about Dh735
- Dubai–Bengaluru: Above Dh1,500 → around Dh755
However some routes are still expensive because many people want to fly. Flights to Kochi are still costly for later dates because so many people want to go.
Travel experts say that the pricing trend is mainly because of -Eid al-Fitr travel patterns.
Many residents did not fly during the holiday because fares were high, and are now booking trips for later when prices are lower.
People are using schedules to save money.
One person from Abu Dhabi delayed his trip by a week. Saw fares go down from around Dh1,200 to Dh648. Others who booked early did not have to pay more.
Travel agents say the gap between minute and advance bookings can be more than Dh600 per ticket creating a clear split between:
- Flexible travellers who wait and save
- Urgent travellers who pay
