Storm alert: UAE to see heavy rain, thunderstorms and dust storms till March 27

The United Arab Emirates is going to have some bad weather until March 27. The National Centre of Meteorology says that it is going to rain and there will be thunderstorms, hail and strong winds in places.

It is due to a low-pressure system and a trough in the atmosphere. This is causing a lot of clouds and rain in some areas.

On Monday it will be partly cloudy to cloudy. There will be rain during the day. At night it will rain in the northern and eastern parts of the United Arab Emirates, including Al Ain.

The wind will be blowing at up to 45 km/h, which will make it dusty and hard to see.

The temperature will be different in areas.

In the areas it will be 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.

In the areas, it will be 23 to 28 degrees Celsius.

In the mountain areas it will be 17 to 21 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday and Wednesday it will rain in the eastern and southern parts of the United Arab Emirates. The rain will then spread to the rest of the country including the areas and islands. There may be showers, especially in the eastern parts of the United Arab Emirates.

On Thursday and Friday the rain may stop for a while but it will start again in the northern and eastern parts of the United Arab Emirates. It will then spread to the rest of the country.

The National Centre of Meteorology has warned people about the following things:

  • rain in some areas
  • Thunderstorms and lightning
  • Strong winds and dust
  • Hailstorms

These things can cause flash floods in the valleys and lying areas. They can also make it hard to see on the roads. The sea will be a little rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. It may get even rougher when it is cloudy. The authorities are telling people to be careful. They should

  • Avoid going to the valleys and areas that can flood
  • Drive carefully when they cannot see well

The weather should get better by the end of the week. However, it may still rain sometimes. The United Arab Emirates will have rain, wind and cooler temperatures for a few days. People should carry an umbrella.
