Dh100 Donation: Sharjah Charity Shows Small Gifts Change Lives

Just Dh100 can make a world of difference for someone in need this Ramadan, thanks to Sharjah Charity International’s “Bouquet of Goodness” campaign. Now in its second year, the initiative invites residents to donate a modest sum—showing how even small acts of generosity can create ripples of hope across communities in the UAE and beyond.

Turning hardship into hope

Every Dh100 donated goes towards the “relief of distress” programme, which helps people facing tough times to get back on their feet and, in some cases, reunite with their loved ones. Orphan sponsorship is also a central focus, providing essentials like food, clothing, and education so that vulnerable children can grow up with dignity.

Healthcare support is another lifeline offered by the campaign. Donations help cover the costs of chronic illness treatments and urgent surgeries—expenses that struggling families often can’t afford.

Ramadan spirit, year-round impact

During Ramadan, the charity distributes daily iftar meals to those in need, spreading compassion and solidarity. The Eid clothing project means underprivileged children can enjoy the holiday in new outfits, feeling included in the celebrations.

But the giving doesn’t stop at Ramadan. Contributions also fund sustainable projects—like printing and distributing Qurans, building mosques in underserved areas, and digging water wells to provide safe drinking water—ensuring the benefits last all year.

Charity made easy

Mohammed bin Nassar, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Sharjah Charity International, says the campaign is about making it simple for everyone to give. “A monthly Dh100 contribution enables individuals to directly ease the suffering of those in need, benefiting thousands locally and internationally,” he explains.

Residents can join the campaign by sending “bouquet” via SMS to 6215, calling 80014, visiting the charity’s website, or using its mobile app.

This Ramadan, it’s clear: you don’t have to give much to make a big difference. Sometimes, Dh100 is all it takes to create a bouquet of meaningful change.
