CBSE Warns UAE Students Against Fake Exam Paper Leak Claims as Board Exams Begin

As the Class 10 and 12 CBSE board exams get underway today, students across the UAE and around the world are being urged to ignore rumours and stay focused, with the Board issuing a strong advisory against falling for fake question paper leaks.

More than 4.6 million students are sitting for the exams this year—a coordinated academic effort spanning India and 26 countries, including the UAE. With so many students involved, exam season often brings a surge of misinformation online. Officials warn that “unscrupulous elements” frequently resurface on social media, claiming to have access to leaked question papers for various subjects.

The CBSE has made it clear: these leak rumours are completely false and designed to stir up panic. “Believing or sharing such unverified news only fuels anxiety and confusion, which can hurt students’ performance,” said a Board official, urging everyone to rely exclusively on verified CBSE updates.

This year, Class 10 students begin their exams with Mathematics, while Class 12 candidates tackle Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Shorthand. The Class 10 exams will wrap up by March 10, while Class 12 assessments run until April 9.

For UAE students, the Board has issued special reminders to plan ahead for local traffic and weather conditions, advising them to leave home early and arrive at exam centres well before reporting time to avoid unnecessary stress.

CBSE emphasises that its exam systems remain secure and robust, and that all important updates will be communicated through official channels only. The key message for students is to stay calm, avoid social media speculation, and concentrate on their preparation.

With vigilance and a clear focus, education authorities hope to ensure a smooth and fair examination season for millions of students—both in India and at overseas centres like the UAE.
