Dubai: Indian rapper Badshah released his first Marathi track, ‘Chimna’ on Tuesday just hours after Badshah and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi announced that they had ended their marriage
The timing placed two major developments in Badshah’s personal and professional life on the same day
Badshah and Isha Rikhi announced their separation through matching statements on Instagram Stories asking fans and the media to respect their privacy and saying they would not comment further on the reasons behind their decision
Meanwhile ‘Chimna’ sees Badshah venture into Marathi music for the first time combining Badshah’s hip‑hop sound with traditional Maharashtrian folk influences

Shot in Kolhapur the video takes a local approach. Of relying on polished visuals often associated with crossover music releases it features wedding processions, daily wage workers and traditional mud wrestlers training at an akhada

Separation after five months of marriage

The couple married in an intimate ceremony in March 2026 following a relationship that reportedly lasted nearly four years. Isha Rikhi publicly confirmed the marriage in June during an Instagram question‑and‑answer session with followers
Speculation about trouble in their relationship had surfaced in July after Isha Rikhi shared social media posts about storms, courage and fear. Isha Rikhi’s mother also posted a message about karma around the period prompting online speculation
