The United States has started a group of drone fighters with countries nearby. This group is called Task Force Falcon Strike. Will bring together American and friendly countries’ drone systems in the air, on the water, and under the water.
The United States Central Command said on August 13 that Task Force Falcon Strike will bring together one-way attack drones with kinds of drones that can work in the air, on the water surface and under the water. The plan is to help the United States and countries work together better as drones become more important in fighting.
This new group is based on what was learned from Task Force Scorpion Strike. That group was created nine months ago as the first squadron in the Middle East focused on one-way attack drones.
Scorpion Strike has conducted operations with drones. One of their accomplishments was sending an attack drone from a US Navy ship in December. The group also used one-way drones during an operation called Operation Epic Fury. They also used drones in July to attack areas in Iran.
Adm. Brad Cooper, who is the leader of CENTCOM, said that Falcon Strike will add abilities by using ideas from friendly countries.
The command is talking with countries in the area. Is asking them to join. CENTCOM thinks the group will grow as more countries take part.
The group will get help from people in the US Special Operations Command Central, or SOCCENT. That group used to lead Scorpion Strike. SOCCENT operates in the area covered by CENTCOM, which includes 21 countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia.
The group is meant to help countries work together to build and use drones instead of doing it alone. CENTCOM said that working together could help countries respond faster to problems and use technology better.
This announcement is happening because countries, in the area are using drones and other machines that work on their own for watching, ships and attacks. Falcon Strike is expected to be a part of the United States efforts to work more closely with nearby countries and create a strong way to use drones in fighting.
