UAE advises Golden Visa holders on summer travel, emergency return documents

Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has given a summer travel advisory for Golden Visa holders. The ministry is reminding people who have Golden Visas to know about the services that are available when they are outside the country. This includes an emergency Return Document for people who lose or damage their passports while they are travelling abroad.

The Return Document helps Golden Visa holders come back to the UAE. It is good to use for seven days from the day it is given. This service is meant to help people go home quickly if they lose their passport or if it gets damaged while they are in another country.

Golden Visa holders can also use a 24-hour emergency phone number. This number provides help and support at any time when people are traveling outside the UAE.

As part of a travel awareness campaign, MoFA is telling travellers to get ready before they leave. This is to avoid any problems while they’re away.

The ministry is telling people to check their flights going out and coming back. They should make sure their passports are good for at least six months. They also need to check what visas are needed for any people travelling with them. Getting health insurance that covers the whole trip is important too.

Travellers are also being asked to keep copies of their passport and ID on their phone. They should store the documents in a safe place. They should save the number of the UAE embassy or consulate. They should book places to stay and transport through approved companies.

Other tips include checking what health rules and vaccination rules are in the place they are going. They should learn about the laws and customs. They should tell their bank they are travelling so their cards are not blocked. They should follow the traffic rules where they’re. They should get to the airport early to do all the travel steps without any problems.

This advice is part of the ministry’s work to make sure UAE residents have easy travel during the busy summer holiday time.
