The Central Board of Secondary Education announced the Class 12 board exam results for 2026. CBSE schools in the UAE did well with high pass rates and many students scoring above 95 per cent. This happened even though there were problems earlier in the year because of conflict.
The academic year for Grade 12 students in Gulf countries, including the UAE, was affected after tensions increased on February 28. In March, CBSE cancelled all remaining board exams scheduled between March 16 and April 10 for students in Asian countries. This was due to security concerns and disruptions linked to the conflict.
To help with university admissions, CBSE introduced an assessment policy for students in Gulf countries, including the UAE.
Some top schools did well.
- The Indian High School and the Indian International School had a 100 per cent pass rate for all 618 students who took the exams.
- 16.7 per cent of students scored 95 per cent and above.
- 50 per cent of students achieved scores over 90 per cent.
- Students got 200 perfect scores in subjects like mathematics, artificial intelligence, business studies, chemistry, biology, computer science and psychology.
Top performers included:
- Fatima Saad Dadan with 99.4 per cent in the science stream.
- Joshua Sunny Stanley and Venu Madhav Mannem shared the commerce top score with 99.8 per cent.
Dubai Private School also had a 100 per cent pass rate, with 96.2 per cent of students getting distinctions. The school’s average score was 87.9 per cent. Half the students scored above 90 per cent.
The school also highlighted performances from students with special educational needs. One student achieved a distinction with 95 per cent
Bright Riders School reported that more than 71 per cent of students got distinctions. Many students achieved subject scores in mathematics, English, computer science, psychology and business studies.
Schools in the UAE praised students for being strong and flexible. This was despite the uncertainty surrounding the exam schedule and regional conditions.
Many final scores were based partly on board assessments. This was because the remaining exams were cancelled. The strong academic performances are especially notable because of this.
