UAE faces 800,000 cyberattacks daily as threats intensify

The United Arab Emirates is seeing a jump in cyber threats. Every day people in charge are stopping 800,000 attempts to hack into systems. This shows that digital risks are getting bigger and are always present even when things seem calm.

Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, who is in charge of the UAE Cyber Security Council talked about this at a meeting in Fujairah. He said that cyberattacks are not what they used to be. Before they were single hacking attempts but now they are big organized operations that target many things at the same time like institutions, systems and individuals.

The people in charge said that the number of cyber threats each day has gone up a lot from around 200,000 to what it’s now. This is mostly because hackers are using intelligence more and more. Artificial intelligence helps hackers do things faster and accurately and it is harder to catch them.

The authorities have found out that there are groups and people involved in these activities. They have found around 350 groups, 320 hackers and more than 120 groups that make malware. They are also watching around 5,000 channels on Telegram to see what is going on.

These attacks are happening over the world. There are people from 20 countries and more than 40 organizations that are trying to hack into the United Arab Emirates. The use of cryptocurrencies and other digital tools is making it harder to stop these operations.

The people in charge are saying that the public needs to be aware of what’s going on. If people do things like update their devices use strong passwords and check online offers carefully they can reduce the risk of being hacked. The United Arab Emirates cyber threats are getting bigger so people need to be careful all the time. The UAE Cyber Security Council is working hard to stop these threats. The public needs to help by being careful, with the UAE cyber security.
