Dubai to install 600 EV chargers across parks and beaches

Dubai is going to set up 600 electric vehicle charging stations in parks and on beaches.

The people in charge of Dubai have a plan to put 600 electric vehicle charging stations in parks on beaches and in other public areas so it is easy for people who live in Dubai to charge their cars while they are out and about.

They are working with a company called UAEV to do this. They want to put fast charging stations in some of the most popular places in Dubai where people like to go.

First they will put 75 of these charging stations in 150 parking spots over the next two years. They will put them in places where a lot of people go, like parks, small parks in neighborhoods and public beaches.

This project is going to cost 150 million dirhams. It is part of a plan to make Dubai a more sustainable city. They want to make it easy for people who own vehicles to charge their cars while they are spending time with their families exercising or just hanging out by the water.

The people in charge say this shows that Dubai is committed to building a city that’s ready for the future. By putting electric vehicle charging stations in places they want to make it easy for people to make choices that are good for the environment.

This project is part of something called the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. It also supports the UAEs long-term goals for being sustainable like having half of all cars be electric by 2050.

The authorities say that more and more people are buying vehicles in the UAE. This is because they cost less to take care of and it is getting easier to charge them. They also made all the charging rates the same in 2024, which has helped more people buy vehicles.

This plan is not about making things convenient. It is also going to change spaces into places where people can have fun be sustainable and use smart ways to get around. This will help Dubai be a leader, in making cities green and sustainable.
