Dh2,000 fine warning: Abu Dhabi Police cracks down on risky viral car stunts

The people in charge in Abu Dhabi are telling everyone to be careful about the things that are happening on social media. They are saying that if you do something you could get in big trouble. You might have to pay a fine of Dh2,000 get 23 points and your car could be taken away for 60 days.

This is because of all the videos that are being shared online of people doing things like hanging out of cars sitting sideways with the doors open or putting their legs outside the car. The police are saying that this is very dangerous not just for the people doing it. For everyone else on the road too.

The police in Abu Dhabi are giving this warning because they want to stop anything from happening. Even though nobody has been hurt yet they want to make sure that nobody gets hurt in the future.

Major Ahmed Al Mehairi from the traffic police is saying that there are things that people are doing that are also very dangerous. For example some people are letting their kids stand up through the sunroof or lean out of the window especially when the weather is bad. This can cause serious injuries or even accidents that can be fatal.

The police are also saying that people are still getting hurt on the roads because they are distracted or driving fast. Using your phone while driving is still a problem.. Now with people doing crazy stunts on social media it is getting even more dangerous on the roads.

In the UAE if you do something that puts peoples lives in danger you can get in trouble. You might have to pay a fine get points and even have your car taken away. If you want to get your car you might have to pay a fee of Dh50,000.

The police are saying that they will be very strict, about this. If they catch you doing something you will get in trouble right away. They are asking people to be responsible and to not do anything that could hurt themselves or others just to get famous on the internet. The police are saying that it is not worth it to risk your life or the lives of others just to get a lot of likes or followers on media.
