Tragedy in Sharjah: 12-year-old boy drowns in Wadi Al Helo and police issue urgent safety warning

Something sad happened in Sharjah. A 12-year-old boy went swimming in Wadi Al Helo. Drowned. This is sad news. The police are now telling everyone to be very careful.

The police in Sharjah got a call for help on Wednesday evening at 7:05pm. Someone told them that a child was in the water. The police sent help away. They got the boy out of the water. Tried to save him. They even took him to the hospital.. Sadly he did not survive.

Now the police are warning everyone again. They are saying that people should not swim in wadis or pools of rainwater. This is especially true when the weather is bad or has been bad. These places can be very dangerous. The water can be very deep in some spots and very shallow in others. There can also be currents that can sweep you away.. The ground can be very slippery.

The police are saying that these natural pools of water are not safe for people to swim in. They can be deadly for kids. Kids might not know how dangerous they are.

The police are very sad about what happened to the boy. They are telling parents to watch their kids closely and make sure they stay away from dangerous places. They are also asking everyone in the community to help spread the word about being safe in the water.

The police think that we all need to work to keep kids safe. If you see something that’s not safe you should tell the police. You can call them at 901 if it is not an emergency. If it is an emergency you can call 999.

This accident is a reminder that wadis can be very dangerous. We all need to be very careful especially when the weather is changing. Sharjah Police want everyone to remember this and be safe. They do not want anything bad to happen to anyone. The boy who drowned in Wadi Al Helo is a reminder of the dangers of swimming, in these natural water bodies.
