New Delhi: The situation in West Asia is getting worse. India says that eight Indians have been killed and one Indian is still missing because of the US-Israel war on Iran.
The Ministry of External Affairs says that these Indians were killed in parts of the Gulf region. This happened because the fighting between countries is getting more intense. Aseem R Mahajan from the Ministry of External Affairs gave out the numbers. He said that the government is keeping an eye on what is happening.
One Indian was killed in Kuwait. Another Indian was killed in Riyadh. This shows that the war is affecting a lot of places.
Since February 28 5.5 lakh people have come back to India from the Gulf region. This is because the war is disrupting life and air travel.
India wants everyone to stay calm and talk things out. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that we need to talk and try to reduce the tension. Air travel is still a problem because some airspace is closed in the Gulf region. The authorities are working with airlines to find routes. They are looking at routes that go through Jordan and Egypt.
