UAE Rainfall Explained: Nature, Not Cloud Seeding, Behind Record Showers

The United Arab Emirates had a lot of rain in March. This was because of the weather not because of anything people did to the clouds. The National Centre of Meteorology says this is true.

There was a lot of rain over the country from March 21 to March 28. This happened because of a low-pressure system that made the air in the atmosphere very unstable. This made a lot of big clouds form. It rained a lot. The rain was so heavy that it was one of the rains in over 80 years.

Some places got a lot of rain. Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman were two of these places. Jebel Yanas got 244mm of rain and Al Manama got over 234mm. Al Ain also got a lot of rain with over 234mm in some areas.

People were wondering if the rain was because of cloud seeding.. The National Centre of Meteorology said no they did not do any cloud seeding during this time. They are not planning to do any cloud seeding either.

Cloud seeding is when people put particles into clouds to make it rain. The United Arab Emirates has used this technology before because they want to have water.. Experts say it only works if there are already clouds in the sky. It cannot make rain if there are no clouds.

The rain was very heavy. Nobody died. The people, in charge did a job of dealing with the situation. They sent teams to clean up the flooded areas and make everything again.

This rain shows that the natural weather can be very powerful. Sometimes when the warm air and cool air meet it can make bad weather. This is what happened in March in the United Arab Emirates. The natural weather systems made all the rain, not seeding. The United Arab Emirates had a rain event and it was all because of the natural weather.
