Iran-US ‘talks’: Can Iran and US strike a deal?

The Iran conflict is something that people are trying to end with efforts and it seems like things are moving forward. Even though Tehran says they are not talking to Washington directly things are still happening.

The President of the United States Donald Trump said that he had some good discussions with a senior person from Iran. He also said that they sent a proposal to Iran that focuses on stopping them from getting weapons.

There are reports that a 15-point plan was sent to Iran through some countries like Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey. We do not know all the details. It seems like the plan might include a temporary ceasefire and talking about some important issues again.

Washington wants Iran to stop making uranium give up the uranium they already have limit their missile program and stop supporting some groups. If Iran does these things the United States might lift some sanctions. Open up some important shipping routes like the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran says they are not talking to the United States directly. They are getting messages through other countries. Irans Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi said that they are getting these messages.

Iran wants some things in return like no more military actions, promises that they will not be attacked again money for the damage that has been done and recognition of their importance in the region especially when it comes to the Strait of Hormuz.

People who study this kind of thing say that the United States and Iran are still far apart. Iran says their nuclear program is for use and they do not want to limit their missiles or who they are friends, with. The United States wants Iran to make some changes and that is hard for Iran to accept.

With all the challenges some people think that a deal is still possible if both sides can find a way to feel like they are winning.. With everything that is going on it is hard to say if there will be peace anytime soon. The Iran conflict is something that’s still very uncertain and fragile.
